David Pedlar, PhD
David Pedlar is a Departmental Director of Research, National Headquaters at Veterans Affairs Canada. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at Dalhousie University, and Co-Director of the University of Prince Edward Island Centre for the Study of Health and Aging. He is an alumnus of the Canada-U.S. Fulbright program (1994-1995).

He obtained his Ph.D in Social Welfare (1997) from the Department of Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University and a M.Sc. (1990) in Gerontology from the Andrus Gerontology Centre at University of Southern California.

He has been an investigator in several national studies, and has publications in the areas of dementia care, health service delivery, family care giving and the impact of military experience on the lives of men.
