Paule Lebel, MD, MSc
Dr. Lebel received her medical degree in 1977 and a diploma in Specialized Medicine (Community Health) 1982, both from the Université de Montréal. She is a consulting physician with the Montréal Centre regional health board, and an associate professor in the Université de Montréal Department of Family Medicine. She is also the Director of Pedagogy at the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal (IUGM). As a member of both the IUGM research centre and SOLIDAGE, the Université de Montréal-McGill University Research Group on Integrated Services for Older Persons (“Understanding and Meeting the Needs of Frail Older Persons with the Canadian Health Care System"), subsidized by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), her work focuses on assessing the quality of geriatric care and services. She also helped to design the SIPA model and evaluate the SIPA demonstration project.
